Pelatihan Pembuatan Bahan Ajar Tematik IPS Berbasis Kearifan Lokal untuk Guru Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the ability of elementary school teachers to develop thematic teaching materials for Social Studies (IPS) subjects based on local wisdom. The background of this activity lies in the low integration of local cultural values in social studies learning, despite the fact that local wisdom has great potential as a contextual learning resource. The method used was hands-on training (workshop) involving teachers from several partner elementary schools. The training included identifying local wisdom, preparing teaching tools, and practicing the development of contextual and relevant instructional materials. The results showed that teachers were able to produce thematic teaching materials that successfully integrated local cultural elements. This activity is expected to improve the quality of social studies learning and foster students’ appreciation of regional culture in elementary schools
