Peningkatan Pengetahuan Tentang Kekerasan Seksual Melalui Leterasi UU No. 12 Tahun 2022 Tentang Tindak Pidana Kekerasan Seksual Di Desa Kemuningsari Kidul

Abstract

Sexual violence remains a persistent social issue in Indonesia, with significant physical and psychological impacts on victims. Despite the enactment of Law No. 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence (UU TPKS) to provide legal protection for victims, public understanding of the law, particularly in rural areas, remains limited. This study aims to increase the awareness of the people in Kemuningsari Kidul Village about sexual violence and the legal measures available to protect victims through literacy of the TPKS Law. The research utilizes the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method, which leverages local resources in the educational process. The socialization activity took place over two days, covering topics such as the forms of sexual violence, victims' rights, reporting procedures, and legal protections. The results indicated a 40% increase in participants' knowledge of the TPKS Law, as well as the creation of a social support network within the village to address sexual violence cases. This program aims to strengthen the community's capacity to address sexual violence and foster cultural change that prioritizes victim protection. This study contributes to the development of a community-based legal counseling model that can be implemented in other villages to reduce incidents of sexual violence
