Abstract

This community service activity aimed to assist new santri in recognizing the environment, culture, rules, and values of Islamic boarding school life at PP. Nurus Sholah Batulabang Akkor, Pamekasan. New santri experience a transition period that requires them to adapt to a new environment, daily routines, regulations, and patterns of social interaction. The mentoring activity employed a participatory and educational approach through several stages, including preparation, introduction to the pesantren environment, material delivery, discussion, simulation, practice, and evaluation. The mentoring materials covered the introduction of pesantren facilities and environment, pesantren culture and traditions, rules and discipline, as well as religious values, responsibility, independence, respect, togetherness, and environmental awareness. The results indicated an improvement in new santri's understanding of the pesantren environment, rules, interaction ethics, and values underlying pesantren life. The mentoring process also helped new santri become better prepared to adapt and develop positive habits in their daily activities. This activity demonstrates that communicative and continuous mentoring is important to support the adaptation process and internalization of pesantren values among new santri.
